The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology authorities on Thursday announced the closure of the institution for an indefinite period in the backdrop of the ongoing student protest over the death of two students in a road accident. The university’s director of student welfare, Professor Rezaul Karim, said that the decision was taken at a meeting of the university’s Academic Council on Thursday. The university authorities ordered the male students to leave their hall by Thursday evening and the female students to leave the hall by 10:00am on Friday. (More soon)
